Tsheringma Drupchhu is a holy spring water of the goddess Tsheringma in Zalamchu, Tshangkha of Tangsibji under Trongsa Dzongkhag at an altitude of 2300 meters. The common belief is that if Tsheringma Drupchu is the first drop of water a child drinks, the child will have a melodious voice.
Drupchhu or holy spring waters are considered to be blessed water, often extracted from a cliff or a sacred place by a spiritual person. Many holy spring waters in Bhutan are said to have been extracted by Guru Rinpoche. The holy springs may or may not have medicinal value, but are considered to have a great spiritual power to liberate one from suffering if one drinks them.
Kurje Drupchhu is a holy spring water created by Guru Rinpoche in the 8th century near Kurjey Lhakhang in Bumthang Dzongkhag to heal the ailing Sindhu Raja. According to locals, the holy water cures all sorts of diseases.
Aja Menchu is the medicinal spring water at Aja Ney created by Guru Rinpoche, believed to cure 18 different diseases (nayrig-chobgay), located at an altitude of 2513 meters above sea level in Serzhong Gewog under Mongar Dzongkhag.
