Druk Wangyal Chortens, also known as Druk Wangyal Khang Zang Chortens or simply Dochula Chortens, are 108 memorial stupas on the Dochula Pass. Dochula Chortens were built by the eldest Queen Mother, Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, in 2003. It was built to commemorate Bhutan’s victory led by His Majesty the Great Fourth and in honor of the soldiers who lost their lives in a military operation against insurgents in 2003.
Tango Choying Dzong is the most important site of Phajo Drugom Zhigpo, where Yidam Tandin appeared before him in person and delivered precepts to him. Therefore, the sacred site was named Tango, meaning “horse head”. It is a Buddhist Monastery in Thimphu Dzongkhag at an altitude of 2946 meters, adjacent to Cheri Monastery.
Jomolhari is a sacred mountain with a meditation cave of Guru Rinpoche and Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal located at an altitude of more than 4,600 meters above sea level. The Jomolhari Temple is built near the cave within the Jurisdiction of Soe Gewog of Lingzhi Drungkhag under Thimphu Dzongkhag. However, not many people visit this holy site due to the altitude and distance.
Tshelung Ney is the second Draphu Maratika where Guru Rinpoche received life empowerment (Tse Ngedrup) from Tsepakme. It is located in Tshaluna village, west of Thimphu Dzongkhag, at an elevation of 3063 masl. Guru Rimpoche and Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal blessed Tshelung Nye and concealed many sacred religious treasures in the 8th century.
Buddha Dordenma Statue at Buddha Point in Bhutan is one of the world’s largest and tallest sitting Buddha statues. The Buddha statue in Bhutan stands 169 feet (52 meters) tall and sits atop a large meditation hall. The hall contains 100,000 eight-inch-tall and 25,000 twelve-inch-tall gold-gilded bronze Buddhas.
Buddha Point was built between 2006 and 2015 to fulfill a prophecy from Guru Rinpoche and yogi Sonam Zangpo foretelling the construction of a Buddha statue to bestow blessings of peace and happiness on the world.

Domtsang Ney is a meditation cave of Guru Rinpoche in Bjemina. It is located around 25 km from the capital city, Thimphu, en route to Tshelung Ney and Jagar Damkelsa Ney. The Ney is a real hidden blessing of Guru Rinpoche. It is a site of hidden blessings for all of us. The evidence left by the Guru itself is a source to revere the Ney and seek blessings.
